Our Clinical Mission

About Clinmetric

An open clinical assessment and medical calculator platform built to answer three fundamental questions clearly, responsibly, and without distraction: "What is this test?", "Can I take or calculate it?", and "What does my result mean?"

1. Why We Built Clinmetric

Validated screening instruments, clinical prediction rules, and medical calculators are fundamental tools of modern evidence-based medicine. They help clinicians stratify pulmonary embolism risk, guide anticoagulation in atrial fibrillation, assess pneumonia triage, and measure depression or anxiety symptom burden over time.

However, digital access to these tools has often suffered from two extremes: either dense academic repositories hidden behind complex navigation, or commercial websites overloaded with intrusive popups, tracking pixels, and sensationalized "AI diagnosis" claims. Clinmetric was created to provide a calm alternative where clinical evidence matters.

2. Who Clinmetric Is For

Patients & the General Public

Screening tools (e.g. PHQ-9 and GAD-7) to understand symptoms and prepare informed conversations for their next doctor visit.

Healthcare Professionals

Fast, deterministic clinical prediction rules (e.g. Wells Criteria, CHA₂DS₂-VASc, CURB-65, CKD-EPI eGFR) backed by peer-reviewed citations and guideline recommendations.

3. Our Core Architectural Principles

  • Never Fabricate Medical AuthorityWe link to source literature where available. We do not present unverified clinician reviews or synthetic doctor personas as real people.
  • Privacy-by-DesignCalculations execute 100% locally in your browser. We never log questionnaire answers to server logs or encode personal responses in URLs.
  • Clinical Safety as a First-Class FeatureTools with self-harm screening questions (such as Item 9 of the PHQ-9) immediately surface 24/7 crisis hotlines regardless of overall score.
